Hey all-

I've managed to strip all of the original wrap off a terribly faded bass drum and now I gotta get the glue off. Any tips on what to use to remove? Thx

I've used this stuff called "Adhesive Remover", because it claims to leave no oil of residue of any kind, but this stuff is NASTY. I imagine it's intended for tile goop on concrete floors. Works quickly on wrap glue, which is good since it dissolves nitrile gloves as well as human fingernails almost as quickly.

Ghastly crap. I need some elbow-high toxic-waste-level gloves before I tackle a full kit with it.

St Drums has demonstrated a method in their Tips and Tricks section for removing old glue. A towel, a hot iron and a good rubbing with a piece of leather. Haven't tried this yet, but looks effective:

I tried a 3M Adhesive Remover, Goof-Off, and a few others before trying this:

Wish I'd have tried it first. Works like a charm, and is non-toxic.
