DFO brothers and sisters, here is a 5x14" Worldmax Black Dawg snare drum, 10 tube lugs, die cast hoops, their standard modern strainer. I added a Remo Skyntone batter head and black grosgrain ribbon on the snare wires. This was a refurbished drum from drumfactorydirect.com after they had a flood in the shop - it has some very fine scratches from their cleanup process that are somewhat visible in one of the pics. I was going to try and gently polish them out but never got around to it. Also does not have the Worldmax badge, a plus in my book. There's a little residue where the badge was which would probably clean up nicely. It's a cool drum but I'm not using it much. Maybe I should have bought the 6.5" version!

$165 shipped to the lower US 48, Paypal gift preferred. Includes an H&B Galaxy bag to aid in protection on the road! OR will consider trade for a Seiko SKX series dive watch.

Yes, black nickel plated 1.3mm brass shell. Here's a link to these snares, I don't see this particular build available right now though.

If I didn't already have a similar Worldmax snare (same shell but with single flange hoops) and hadn't just ended a snare buying binge (I'm out of money, not snares to buy) I'd be all over this at that price. Great deal for someone.

Thanks KO. It is a cool drum, a richly harmonic tone and monster rimshots! I really should have gotten a 6.5" as that's what I'm hearing these days. I played a friend's ancient 6.5" COB Pioneer snare with single flange hoops in our practice space and it spoiled me forever.

How is this still here? Someone buy this already so that I don't.

If I didn't already have a Black Magic in this size...

Worldmax drums are underrated by most. I've owned a couple and used my hammered brass in the studio recently.

Very much agree. If I didn't already have a 6.5 taye vintage nickel brass and a ludwig hammered bronze, I'd be all over this. I'm still tempted as is and Lord knows I do not need another snare, let alone a brass one.
