Push the epoxy into the corners and model it through the hole in the lug. You've got about 15 minutes to work with it. Use your "sacrificial tensioner and lug nut" to extrude the epoxy through the hole from the inside of the lug out. Make sure you have "wiggle room" where the lug nut lays stationery inside of the lug as it protrudes through the hole in the lug. Also, for single sided lugs, model a shoulder in the back of the lug for the spring to seat.

I have a gold glass Spotlite from 1959. It has the script logo and clear varnish interior. Yours is definitely older as it has the eagle badge. You have a very nice looking drum.
Do you have a picture of the throw-off.
