Ludwig Speed King customized from DrumMechanix (retired).  Pedal was cleaned up and souped up as follows:

Nylon bushings

Super Lube in posts

Custom powder coating

Black powder coating on the base and posts - footboard is brushed metal.  At gigs, posts "disappear" and the footboard seems to float.  There are minor scratches on the tops of the posts and bottom of the footboard from normal wear.

Pedal action is smooth and quick.  There is no lateral "slop" like you get from many old SKs.  I can direct a lot more power into this SK than any other I've played.  Also good for feathering the BD.

Asking $110 shipped CONUSA.

How is this pedal still available? These hotrod SK are killer and virtually impossible to find these days. Drum Mechanix has retired and his heir, Vincent, at Polyphonic, is bogged down and not accepting new work. This is a steal for someone wanting a SK that EASILY surpasses the original.
