I mix and match stuff all the time, but these three combos stand out. All Paiste..

14" DE top over Sig Med. bottom. Great all around hats.

15" Sig mellow crash over 602 Sound Edge bottom. Kind of 'cheap' sounding but they work.

15" Dark Energy Crash, Giant Beat top and 2002 Black top in just about any combo. I think there may be a Traditional thin that I use too. These are all pretty sloshy of course. It's as close as I can get to the Steve Jordon vibe.

Latest I've tried and liked is a 15" Dark Energy crash over a 15" 2002 SE bottom. Sounds great

I've been using a 15" Paiste Big Beat top over 70's 2002 SE bottom for quite a while now. Also works with a 15" 602 SE bottom under it.

I plan on trying the DE top with a sound creation bottom.

I enjoy mixing them up.

For years I used a 14" K Custom Dark top hi-hat with an Avedis Mastersound bottom.  Another combo I've used is the K Custom Dark top hi-hat with a Scimitar Top (as the bottom)

I used a New Beat bottom over a Rude bottom for years. Had a friend tell me he wanted them if I ever sold them. I have some singles around I was mixing up until I got the 2002 bug.
