In the 70s, on PBS, there was a show called Soundstage.

I remember seeing Journey w Ansley Dunbar on an episode, and Victor Lewis on a cool Premier kit w a band, but one of the ones that stuck out was the New Brubeck Quarter w Dave and his three sons, Darius, Dan and Chris

They were all pretty hippied out , but Dan played a Big R Rogers kit w Paiste Cymbals, barefoot , and I swear he played open handed.

Ive search to see if that footage is available, but can never find it and would love to see it , just to see how it hits me now as an adult

At the time, I thought it was super cool

I was searching for the Victor Lewis video a few months back and couldn't find it. I think it was with Woody Shaw. It might turn up eventually!

That reminds me. I actually have this.

https://www.amazon.c...t/dp/B0012HRUJY

It's a direct-to-disc (meaning straight to 2 track) recording of the New Brubeck Quartet.
