I can't wait!!!! Rami Malek (from Mr. Robot) plays Freddie. It looks awesome!

Good-looking trailer! Rami Malek seems a good fit for the role.

Though I wonder what the complication will be? Surely it won't end on a sad note. Perhaps the movie will start at the end, then go back to teh beginning and build up to the triumph of the Live Aid performance?

So looking forward to this!!

Would've been interesting to have seen Sascha Baron Cohen in this role, but Rami Malek looks like a good fit!

Rami has a twin brother which is weird seeing them together.

Mr Robot S1 was epic...I also thot Sasha was the perfect fit

for this role...I am sure he is disappointed...a role of a lifetime.

If this movie hits...Rami will bump to the A-list fast.

Looking forward to it.

Anyone know anymore about it?  Did they actually try to tell his real story and capture his real character, or did they take him and the band and make up the rest?

Not sure what I think about Rami's look in that trailer.  Maybe it will grow on me when I watch the movie.

I am...not sure what's going to happen. Cohen left the project. The band apparently threw their weight around to make it more about them. Bryan Singer got fired right at the end. It's unclear how many Queen songs were cleared for the film. It's a "wait and see" so far.

That trailer looked EXCELLENT. Really excited to see it, and I'm not even that big of a Queen fan. Ol' boy looks and sounds just like Freddie!

Thanks for sharing ,Dan !!

  My wife was a hardcore Queen fan, and for her 16th birthday back in the day, her best friend Kerry procured 1st row tix at Madison Square Garden, NYC ....... During the show Freddy came over, and shared some champagne in plastic glasses with the gals !!  Wife mentioned Freddy handed her some fan supplied roses towards the end of the show.  {She had to get back home after the show so mum n dad wouldn't "ground her for a month",and avoided a "plant" that invited them and a few "lovelies" back stage after the show !!}

We saw the East Coast / West Coast Freddie tribute Queen shows with Paul Rodgers on vocals {IMHO done respectfully} and observed Phil Spector before jail, was sporting a white afro and tux about 25 seats away from us at the Meadowlands Arena,  NY/ NJ officially...  !!!!!

Saw Freddy and Queen with Billy Squier opening at MSG, before I met my wife, with comp tix from a coworker at Sharp Electronics. .... Louis Mosca who's husband was David Bowie's personal security guard, and limo drive in the movie "Man Whom Fell to Earth"  and had gifted aprox 3 dozen coworkers with amazing side stage tix !!

Will be seeing the movie, wife and 15 y.o. daughter, started crying and smiling as I showed them the trailer !

IMHO:     One of the top 25 / greatest "un-edited" moments in rock n roll:

In HS Queen was in the mix, but the older stuff.  Another One Bites the Dust just came

out and I lost interest.  Back then, that was weak music...too simple (think like a 17yo)

and Van Halen ruled...hard rock.  Queen was not part of that mix.

Tie Your Mother Down was part of the set list played in my band.  Freddie never

appealed to me personally.  Too dramatic...now, we know a lot of the "hard rock

& metal" leaders were not as "tough" as we thought...lol  Freddie was just more

honest about it.

I REALLY thought Sasha Baron Cohen was THE guy for this film.  Remi was not on

my radar at all.  The Kimmel interview he says he did not meet the band, but on

another interview he said he met the band at Abbey Studios.

So much of this is not the acting, but editing and storyline...good film-making.  I think

most fans want a Freddie centered film...the rest of the blocks need to realize they

are NOT the main draw, Freddie was and is.  If the director tries to please everyone,

this will fall flat...jmo

This film is not yet rated.

But, you can't make a decent rock movie that's not Rated R.
