I think Brian Blade's go-to stick is a Bolero. If only each pair came with an ounce of his mojo

I used to make my own , with either tips from other worn out or broken sticks , or those Easton tips that screw on . You can lightly thread the wood . Good quality Crazy Glue like Hot Stuff will secure things well .

SD Boleros were my go to sticks for many years , but the business end wears out a little faster than Hickory .

Also the Powertip CCC's come with the nylon tip option, but you may have to special order . Powertips are maple and thick like the Boleros.

Looks like Vater’s version of the Bolero is available with a nylon tip (product code VSMCN): https://www.vater.com/#!/product/34

Wishing you luck!
