A small set tonight but I have never posted any of my Istanbul Mehmet Nostalgia's before ( I have way to many) but for a two cymbal rig, this is my very favorite among them. Played a nice light standards/jazz gig tonight with 15" hats, a 20" 70's ride on the left (but only 1770 grams so more a crash then then anything) and a lovely 22" 70's series on the right. These cymbals were just meant for this type of gig, such fullness and spread.

An 8 lug rack tom?  What size is that tom?

LOL!! What an eye for detail!!!  I had even forgotten that was an 8 lug drum! It's a 8 ½” X 13”, 5 Ply Maple with 3 ply rings (Keller shell I'm sure). Punkinater Drums (Myrtle Beech, SC) builds all his 13's as an 8 lugger. As is all of his kick drums, they all have 10 lugs regardless of the diameter... this is a 20X20", with 10 lugs! But the floor tome is normal at 16X16".

Kind of been falling in love with 15" hats lately. First the Meinl Byzance Dual hats and then these Meinl Pure Alloy hats. The rest is 18" Pure Alloy medium crash, 22" medium ride, 20" medium crash and a 18" Byzance trash crash

I dont typically see my full UFIP rig at the same time, but I had them all out cleaning them and thought it would be fun to snap a birds eye photo... Of my different brand rigs, this is my most contemporary. I really enjoy them and their ability to blend and balance over the different series.

Left too right..

10” Class Series Splash, Light (265 Grams)

16” Class Series Fast Crash (886 Grams)

17” Class Series Fast Crash (1100 Grams)

18” Class Series Fast Crash (1210 Grams)

20” Class Series Crash, Light (1250 Grams)

21” Natural Series Ride, Medium, Red Label (3000 Grams)

16” Extatic Series Hats (1210 over 1400 Grams)
