Ludwig and Sonor imperial lugs look similar...

Hi everyone-
I saw this post on the Sonor Museum forum, and it is of a 50's orchestra model twin strainer snare with lugs that are twins to ludwigs.

Interesting. Sonor was going for the "Ludwig" look. It was a marketing thing.

Sonor did it up until the late 60s/early 70s. Look at the extra 'art deco tier' Imperial lug copies on this one.. I imagine Sonor changed the post 1962 Ludwig Imperial design by adding the tier to try to get around the patent/trademark thingy..
