Yussef Dayes - Yamaha Recording Custom

18 December 2017 - 10:40 AM

Just stumbled across this on YouTube - if you're a fan of Idris Muhammad or groovin' drums in general you'll want to watch this. He's making those Recording Customs SING.

Can anyone identify what hi-hats he is using? I assumed they were Zildjian Istanbul but they seem to be less chunky and more wood-y. Maybe Agop 30th anniversary?

SOLD

Just got this awesome hardware pack a few weeks ago from Sam Ash thinking I'd need it for a specific gig but haven't used it once. Set up once in my home studio and has sat in the bag since then. Will upload pics later if anyone wants, but I think most people know what they're getting... http://store.dwdrums...ack-w-bag?pp=10

Another project that I cannot keep due to time and space constraints. This is an interesting one. I found these on Craigslist, thought they were Rogers, doubted my self once I got them and then was confirmed by DanC on this thread -> http://www.drumforum...s-beginner-kit/

It is a Rogers Keller with the sharp bearing edges. According to the thread above this is a Mercury BD, shell. The lugs are an early Beavertail prototype - pretty cool. As you can imagine, they are all extremely lightweight drums. The kick is wide open. Will ship with Evans EMAD heads on both sides.

Would like to get $150 + you pay shipping from 22902 (Charlottesville, VA)

Let me know if you have any questions!

'65 Ludwig Club Date Blue & Silver Duco 22" Kick

29 July 2017 - 02:44 PM

Here's a project that I have started but don't have the time or the space to complete. Everything is original including all pieces-parts and hardware. I took apart and hand cleaned them, removed as much rust from the tension rods, and used Cape Cod Cloths on all of the hardware. All original heads will be included, as well as a brand new unplayed 22" Remo Black dot (pictured). Will also include the original cymbal arm, and Universal Speed-Master pedal. Will send the throne as well if anyone is interested.

Bass drum is 22" and serial number is 79255. The hoops need some work. Batter side has severe pedal rash and only has 1/3 of the inlay. Resonant side hoop is in better condition but could use a re-finishing as well. Overall this drum is pretty clean, just needs some touch-ups. Bearing edges are great.

I have a barely used, only a couple of months old, Shure Beta 52a Kick Mic that I am getting rid of. I upgraded recently and want this to go to a good home. It is in immaculate condition and has only been used at my home studio. I can put up pictures later today if anyone is interested.
