Rogers Orphan Toms

02 May 2018 - 09:21 AM

I have some project toms that were to fill out a larger kit but I am moving away from.

12" Rack Tom - no badges, cleaned and re-wrapped. Based on the more rounded hardware, I'm thinking this is a Fullerton tom? Correct me if I'm wrong. Interiors are very clean. Brand new Remo Ambassador heads top and bottom. Asking $200 shipped.

16" Floor Tom - Cleveland badge (early 60s based on serial number?) in Red Sparkle. Needs a deep clean on the hardware, the wrap is still in tact aside from discoloring. There is a VERY slight lift in the re-ring on the batter side that needs to be glued, but other than that this drum is very clean on the inside. Original internal muffler in tact. Brand new Remo Ambassador heads top and bottom. Would like to get $350 shipped for this one.

C&C 12th & Vine Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany 12/14/20

01 May 2018 - 10:03 AM

Selling my first love - I will miss her. I have a 12/14/20 C&C 12th & Vine Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany shell pack that I am reluctantly selling but I need the cash to fund a Sonor Vintage kit I just got :) The 12th & Vine series features a 5 ply shell with a Poplar Core, 7 Ply Maple Reinforcement Rings and "Los Angeles" bearing edge. These remind me of WFL Mahogany kits in which I could never find 12 or 14 toms. This was my dream kit for a long time, but it is just not getting the play it deserves anymore. I take extreme care with my drums and these are no exception. There are a few minuscule blemishes on the shells (from dropping a drum key) that I can take detailed pictures of, but other than that they are immaculate.

C&C describes this MPM shell mockup as:

"Mahogany/Poplar/Mahogany: A reference to the classic sounds of the 1950s, our Mahogany/Poplar ply configuration is one of the warmest Gladstone Shell Configurations. Depth and character are more pronounced in quieter, softer musical settings while fat, round tones come out when things get a bit louder." http://www.candccust.../12th-and-vine/

Also, here is a Chicago Music Exchange vid of the 13/16/22 version of these drums for reference:

Two of my dream synths

18 April 2018 - 12:37 PM

I am just so excited about this I wanted to share it somewhere. I bought two of my dream synthesizers this month. My wallet hurts and my drums are lonely, but I am happy getting lost in the sounds and textures.
