I collect American, British and Japanese drums. I currently have a pair early 60's Stewart's and Coronet's. These are players kits, they're gigged and recorded. I've had both of them professionally re-edged, squared up and nicely sealed, plus new coated Ambassador's all around. You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between my early 60's Roger's and them. I get positive comments all the time from live/recording engineers, fellow musicians/drummers, etc. Personally, I judge by my ears.
