I have all new heads on order for my drums, so while I'm waiting for them to come in, I'm going to try and clean/polish/wax the drums as best as possible before putting it all back together.

I took all the hardware off the shells, but I'm trying to decide if it's ok to do a Meguiar's or Mother's three step detailing job on these.

The drums are in excellent condition, but have hairline scratches and some imperfections here and there.

I'm thinking of using a pre-wax cleaner, glaze, carnauba wax.

I don't plan on taking all the hardware off again any time soon, so I want to make sure I do it right.

I'm thinking of using blue magic on the chrome.

    Thanks for any input!

No input really. Just a comment: all instruments finished with synthetic lacquer can be detailed using auto care products.
