20/12 and snare no floor tom, very nice condition worth 1200?
Floor toms are hard to come by and there are at least 3 versions of capri.
in Mass, its the black capri, or dark purple??
this style capri
snare , rack and bass drum
Is this on a local CL? You should buy them. I would. FT or not.
As Rich pointed out, there are several different capri variations that are quite different from one another, so finding that correctly matching FT will be a tough hunt but doable, just expect to pay a pretty penny for it when it pops up. If that RK snare you posted is part of the deal, I'd jump on it.
Precision came out with a cool version of Capri. Doesn't really match Slingerland's, but if you had a floor tom to wrap it would be ok.
head spinning on this 1200 is a lot for an incomplete kit, Id have to play it for a while , then sell it down the road, dont have the room or money to keep them all, and I dont play in a band that those would be practical, im a gluten for eye candy and being a single with grown kids, I rotate my candy right in my living room , hey that wrap looks like "festive" replace the tree with it LOL
yes I do know they were sold like this , as a Windsor package, but no FT is incomplete no matter what they call it
if you don't buy it post the link!
Being a Capri Pearl fanatic, I've watched them for many years.
There's a 12,16,20 plus snare on Ebay with a starting bid of 2400.00. I don't think it will sell at that price.
As for the one you're looking at, I think the snare would make or break the deal. However, if you're thinking of finding a 14" FT don't hold your breath.
yea just saw that on ebay today , hoping the potential seller doesnt see it, and 2400 with buy it now of 3400, yikess thats a bit steep, however given the rareness I would think 1900 is a decent number for that kit, I dont see many Slingerlands break the 2000 dollar mark, but we shall see
If you want to split, I'd be interested in the snare. Pics?
Check with Bum Wraps to see if they can produce a close replica that you can apply to an orphan floor tom. Remember that the floor tom is usually in the shadows of the other drums. So, a close match is usually good enough for the floor tom.
Just a personal observation: Capri Pearl is one of those wraps that (to me) looks great when up close to the drums. However, from ten feet or more away from the drums, they look as though there are smudges on a solid color drum wrap.
I'm looking for a Capri kit if anyone is selling BTW
PM me please
Still working on a deal to aquire, will update when i have an update. thanks for the replies
