Atlas cymbals? Own any? were they a stencil brand

    A while back i paid $40 for a 20" Ascend/Cosmic Percussion ride (made in Italy).

    The hammering and lathing on this atlas 16 are very similar (now that i think of it...I had a Pasha bottom hat that was similar too).

    Was Atlas a stencil brand of UFIP?

    The bell on the ride is great...in fact the entire ride is very playable...

    Yes, Atlas is one of many stencil brands produced by UFIP. Here is a photo of the different brands they have in the factory. Left side, three down, one column over to the right: Atlas. Also mentioned in The Cymbal Book.

    I have an Atlas 16 crash in much better condition then the one posted. Sounds ok but I dont use it much. I didnt know it was UFIP.

    Had a Atlas Ride......sounded HORRIBLE!..Wanna say it had a number after it...200 or something....
