Don't know if this has been brought up before.

However, what is your favorite drum intro to a song?

Mine is the introduction to "One Little Victory" by Rush.

I used to love hearing old Ed Shaughnessey give a roll intro into the Tonight Show Theme.

Could be taken two ways....Intro where the drums start the song? Or Intro where the drums come in even if in the middle of the tune.... if in the middle no more powerful intros than Stairway and In the Air tonight.

I have a bunch of favorites.
Currently, it's Jim Gordon's intro to a remix of "Apostrophe", from "The Crux of the Biscuit".
"Murder By Numbers" is also a favorite. "Superstition" never gets old, nor does "Walk This Way".

Yeah, I understood that the first notes of a song were only drums. Not drums and music - now there's tons of those! Yes as to Superstition....that is a sick beat.

And let's not forget Squib Cakes! Brick House! Swingtown! Take the Money & Run!
Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone - just that snare whack! Honky Tonk Women!

    We're an American Band rocks!

I just started learning this song last night - some very tricky stuff in there! Time signatures are all over the place
