Normally if I want to pump myself up...get into a good mood I'll listen to Ozomatli.

I find myself in a bit of a (non musical) funk today and was thinking...who else should I be listening to?

and I realize some bands have an occasional up tune...I'm looking for bands that are generally optimistic.

FWIW...Wire's diamonds in cups is a case of a usually obtuse band writing something optimistic...

I like the upbeat sound of Los Lonely Boys.

    Portishead does it for me.....

Anything that depressing is sure to make me feel better about where I am....

My sister was a fan of the Smith's because she found Morrisey's dourness funny

I've always found Santana's music to be really positive, and always puts me in a good mood, especially the albums Borboletta and Welcome.
