I finally got around to snapping a picture of all of my snare drums today and I figured it would be fun to see what else everyone has. Let's keep this to pictures of all your drums together, rather than a bunch of individual snare photos. I think it would be cool to have a bunch of pictures of entire collections, with all the drums together. Also, if you want, include the specs on each drum. Here's mine:

    All Snare Drums.jpg

    From left to right:

    • 5" x 14" DW Craviotto Solid Maple: 1998
    • 6" x 14" DW Collectors Mahogany/Spruce in Ruby Glass: 2017
    • 5" x 14" Tama KingBeat: early 80s
    • 6.5" x 14" Ludwig Hammered Bronze: late 70s
    • 5.5" x 14" Ludwig Pioneer in Sky Blue Pearl: 1965
    • 6.5" x 14" Ludwig School Festival in Gold Sparkle: 1963
    • 5" x 14" Ludwig Supersensitive: Mid 70s
    • 6.5" x 14" Ludwig COB Supraphonic: 2009
    • 6.5" x 14" INDe aluminum: 2016

I'm in the process if selling some. Which one of those is your favorite?

I honestly don't have a favorite. They all fill a different niche for me. The ones I play the least and might end up selling are the sky blue pioneer, the Tama King Beat, and the Craviotto. These are great drums, but to my ear, I just prefer the others.

These are just my six lug slingerlands from the 60s to early 70s.

There are two more on my workbench getting cleaned up right now. No duplicates.

I don't usually stack them like this, but it was the quickest way to get them all in the shot. A mix of Ludwig, Tama, Yamaha, Dunnett, Craviotto, George Way, N&C, Ayotte, Premier, Leedy and Rogers.

You guys really have some great snare collections! It great to see pictures of all the snares together. It also makes me happy to know that I'm not the only one who loves snares more than I should.
