Will replacing the bearing really make a significant difference

    I've played Camco by Tama chain drive, exclusively, since 1987 and its a pretty smooth and quick pedal right out of the box.
    This sounds pretty gimmicky to me. I say look around for stock replacement bearings (if you really need them) at a better price and enjoy a really well designed bass drum pedal.

    it'll make you "one" faster

    anything that makes an eighth of a turn 1 nanosecond faster is.... faster

    but $40 faster?

    I use the Canopus bearings in my DW5000 pedals and they do make the pedal a bit smoother and seems to be more fluid. Not sure it will make you play faster but you will feel the difference...I have not heard of any other cheaper brand to be honest. Canopus makes great products.
