Okay...I'm going to throw my hat into the ring. I've followed the bickering that has been going on here, and I side 100% with Treviso1. Since this has started I've noticed that MetalDoucheRuddfan1223 has cleaned up his writing with intelligent readable sentences that include punctuation...

Would you get your first kit back?

Absolutely! A 1970 Gretsch with K Zildjian cymbals. It was stored in my parent's attic for many years. When I went to get it, I found out that my Dad GAVE it away.

If you can learn to type, you can learn to use punctuation. Seems that there's nothing wrong with your spelling ability.

Apologize for using an inappropriate word in my OT parents thread...

Except that you have to read a something to decide whether you are offended by it or not. Just not reading a thread is not always an option.

How do we know which cymbal to hit? Instinct or not?

Sometimes it's location. Playing a fast fill? Hit the closest crash.

    Sticks-do you break them?

I used to break LOTS of sticks in high school marching band and drum corps, and I used to use 2S and 3S sticks. Since then, I really don't break 'em.

Talk About OT: What's the Farthest You've Ever Traveled From Home?

Beijing China to visit my girlfriend's family, three times.

    Sticks-do you break them?

    Yup....I'm a sissy drummer. I don't break sticks.

Can you play a roll (and how important are they)?

Obviously, by asking this question, you've never played our national anthem.

    Sticks-do you break them?

Haven't broke any sticks since I left high school marching band. Now the only time I need new sticks is when the bead gets wore out from the ride cymbal.

Can you play a roll (and how important are they)?

This. I learned how to do both back in grade school. Got really good at both by junior high. How could you not know how to play a roll....any kind of roll?

OT: The Rolling Stones Guitarist Book: Ronnie Wood Artist

I recently picked up a book by Ron Wood of THE Rolling Stones called "Ronnie Wood Artist". Man, I am pleasantly surprised. The dude has another highly refined talent. Any of you guys have this book? How 'bout another book displaying a not so well known talent of your favorite artist?
