    Is country drumming boring?

It's not boring at all! Engage with it and you'll like it.

    Late 1930s WFL Twin Strainer

Cool idea with the guitar strings. Damn! Thats a bummer about the plating being gone. It sucks, but in my opinion, it does take away from the coolness of that old girl at all. Makes her even cooler. How were the edges? Is it in round? The lug casings were originally nickel, right?

    Custom Nickel Lugs.

Cool! Great suggestions! I remember reaching out to Champagne a while back, I dont think we ever reached any kind of conclusion. I'll have to reach back out and start from scratch!

    Late 1930s WFL Twin Strainer

What a cool drum. Twin strainer sounds really cool. Anyone ever use it in a real-life situation? I mean, I know it's an awesome drum and could be used in any musical setting, but I was just trying to think of some situations where the two sets of wires would be deployed independently. It seems...

I was kind of thinking a lathe would mostly be used to make the lugs.

    Custom Nickel Lugs.

I was hoping for maybe nice tube lugs or something simple and elegant that can take an insert. Also, something that meets my odd standard for proportions.a Yeah. That's kind of how I figured it as well, price-wise. I know it will be a lot more expensive. This project now feels like something...

    Thoughts on DW drums!

Yeah that makes sense. Seems like yamaha and their piano, drum and other finishes have also helped raise the bar. I've never owned Yamaha or DW complete sets, but their finishes have always looked nice.

    Custom Nickel Lugs.

What would I even look up? I've been using Google searches and google maps to look for metal fabricators but a lot of them are sheet metal fabricators? Is that what I'm looking for?

    Custom Nickel Lugs.

Hey everyone. Has anybody ever had custom lugs made? Are there small metal shops/machine shops that do that kind of thing or is it generally not worth their time? I have a few shells that I want matching lugs for but the already-drilled hole spacing is making that quite difficult. I've looked...
