  • Hello,
I noticed that you recommended the Motion-pro on a thread a couple of years ago. I'm looking for a good throne to reduce numbness while playing. I'm looking at that one or the Soundseat. How would you rate the Motion-pro in comfort & durability after owning it for a while?
    I would appreciate your input.
    Thanks, Larry

I've been using the Motion-Pro thrones for about 4 or 5 years now and have held up well to the amount of dates I do (the past 2 years I've played over 200 shows each year), so they're very durable and are made well. They make 2 thrones; a firm model (Pro-1) and a softer model (Custom-S) so depending on what type of cushioning you like you would pick between those.

I own both models. I use the firmer model more for regular gigs and tend to use the softer model for the laid back type gigs. The thrones have helped my back tremendously and actually have helped my posture while playing due to the split design. The split design is to have each side of the throne move independent while keeping the spine to float and stay straight.
