GD .... My grandfather ( mum) was a professor in the faculty of music at Riga university . He would spend the summer vacation aboard trans atlantic cruise liners playing trumpet in jazz bands . During the nazi occupation of Latvia he refused to take down the Latvian flag on campus and a result died in one of the concentration camps . My dad was Polish, I was raised Roman Catholic, but... who knows ?
