I have checked out both the 5 and 6.5 depths on DW snares and prefer the 6.5 as it sounds very different than what I have. In addition to the Camco snare I also have a 5x14 wood Corder snare - I could not resist buying it as I spent a lot of time drooling over their catalog and a friend's kit. I am most interested in a 6.5x14 snare.
