People that take apart drums and sell the pieces are horrible humans.

I disagree. I had a Ludwig Club Date set from 1965. I never like the look of the set (but love the sound; I've had a lot of drummers ask me how I get them to sound so good. Not me I tell them, WFL & Co.) so I decided to go with double lugs. I parted out my Club Date lugs and bought the parts I...

Who is the one bassist you would love to jam with?

What Year Did you begin drumming?

1960s UK, German, and US Drums in Action!

Dear God, that was fall off the chair funny. Loved all those spastic Spinal Tap gyrations. Also got a kick out of the Brit beachwear of the Swingin' Blue Jeans. Great drum/instrument shots. Plenty of Gretsch, Fender, Epiphone. I also spotted a Burns (Bison?) and a Guild Starfire. Those Premiers...

    Vintage Slingerland Restoration? Or Fuggetaboutit?

A couple of years ago, I restored my set of Ludwig Club Dates. Permit me to give you a few tips. 1) DON"T sell , throw out or give away anything. 2) I agree with cleaning the set AFTER disassembly. 3) DON'T rush. Take your time. A rush job will show. e.g., I started my restoration project in...

    Lug Spacing-Club Date vs Classic

Hello to all. I'm doing a make over on a busted up Club Date set. Switching from single bowties to double rows on the bass, rack & floor. Can anyone give me the spacing for the lugs (distance from shell edge to front of lug) on your 14" bass, 14 " floor and 8 " rack ? Many thanks.
