    Hi, sure. It's a nice triplet filler. Elvin does it also on faster tempos but playing it as 8th notes, so it gives him bit if rest and creates this 3 over 4 feel. I think he used that rudiment quite a bit, also on his solos.

    Ralph Peterson showed me that some years ago as we were going through the Rudimental Ritual. Instant Elvin, he called it.
