  • Which of your thick metal drums do you find the driest? And which is your favourite?
Sorry for the barrage of questions and double post! Character limits are tiny on here......

The driest is the N&C alloy classic, followed by the Tama bell brass. Both are almost be too dry if the tuning isn’t perfect. You can try me on the private messages for longer posts! I love talking this stuff.
    Hello mate,
I too absolutely adore thick metal shells and have a Duluth Treebronze 6.5 x 14 with Sonor Hella hoops on it and a Lars Ulrich Bell Brass. Needless to say, the Duluth is far and away the winner. I do find sometimes it can be slightly ringy (I run an Evans Heavyweight with Steel Puresound Custom 24's) and I was curious as to what you are running?

I have an Evans powercenter reverse dot over an Aquarian classic clear. I love that combo. The Duluth is absolutely the winner! I have pearl ultrasound “C” type 20 strands on now.
