    23” vintage A zildjian

I sold a 23" A Zildjian not too long ago. It was from the 50's with a block stamp-style bell and hammering, but a later stamp. This is the second 23" I've owned. The other was from the 50's also. Neither were cut down from a larger cymbal...

Free! 5x14 Gretsch black brass shell - fits Gretsch, Ludwig, Slingerland, & tube lugs.

Free to a good home! Just pay shipping! This is a 5x14 Gretsch black brass snare drum shell. It would have been a New Classic snare. Factory drilled for 8 lugs. I slightly enlarged the holes to fit Slingerland lugs, so now it will fit Gretsch, Ludwig, Slingerland and standard tube lugs. It is...

Tama Iron Cobra- Rolling Glide vs. Power Glide

I think you can still order the Flexiglide cam and straps. Cams are super easy to swap out on a Tama pedal. That might be a good solution for the original post. Buy a Powerglide pedal, and then buy a Rolling Glide cam. It takes about 5-10 minutes to swap cams.

Tama Iron Cobra- Rolling Glide vs. Power Glide

I've owned both the Power Glide and Rolling Glide, and I really can't tell much difference between the two. I prefer the Power Glide, but I think it's just because I have more time on that style. Like you, I don't play a lot of complex bass drum patterns, although I do play heel down quite a...

Tama Iron Cobra- Rolling Glide vs. Power Glide

I recently bought a NOS Flexiglide pedal. It was completely unopened in the original packaging. I love that thing.

HHX complex or Z sweet cymbal pack

I guess it would depend on which Sabian pack. They have a pack with 15" hats, 19" thin crash, and 22" medium ride. I also see one with 14" hats, 16" and 18" crashes and and 21" thin ride. I REALLY like the 22" medium ride in that series, but it is a different beast than the Zildjian Sweet rides...

    K like an A Custom?

I would check out the 21" K Crash Ride. They have the larger A Custom-style bell, a brilliant finish, and K hammering. They're discontinued now, but still out there.

A wrench in the Avedis Zildjian stamp timeline?

Cool! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Yours is a nice weight too.

A wrench in the Avedis Zildjian stamp timeline?

I didn't want to possibly hijack the other thread, so I moved this to a new thread. I just picked up this set of 15" Avedis Zildjian hihats. Just curious if this throws a wrench into the stamp timelines. Here's the 60's stamp on top: And here's the 1978-1982 ink on the bottom of the same...

    Help with stamps - 15" Zildjian Hi-Hats

It looks like they are both 60's stamp, but one isn't pressed in as much as the other. But...I'm gonna throw a wrench into the stamp timelines with this set of 15's I just picked up. I didn't want to hijack, so I moved the thread here...

Getting a modern workhorse kit, which one should I go with?

Barton makes some good options too. Rogers-style lugs. Traditional sizes. Light weight. Good sound.

Getting a modern workhorse kit, which one should I go with?

I’m gonna vote Pork Pie Hip Pig. Superior sound. Superior looks. Solid hardware.

Apparently you don't need felts on your hi-hat clutch if you're Max Roach

No, I think he's such a bad ass that he's like, "Felts? We don't need to stinkin' felts." No one's criticizing anyone.
