    Kerope vs Agop

Looks like I'll be testing some Paiste traditionals in the near future!

    Kerope vs Agop

That’s almost exactly my same thought process and background. I’ve been playing a few 30th and Sig Agops recently and really enjoy them... if there was something modern that crossed the mellow quiet nature of Keropes with the slightly louder and complexity of the K Con line I think it would be...

    Quiet cymbal

My quiet go to cymbals are a 20” K custom flat ride (credit to those above for highlighting flat rides) and my Kerope 20” & 22” rides. I was thinking about getting rid of my Keropes because of how quiet they are, but they are perfect when I’m in a situation similar to what you’re describing. I...

They do indeed! I started with the hats and the 18” crash paired with some old 60s A’s I had used for decades. I liked them (the new ones) so much paired with my old Rogers stuff and the older Zildjians that I kept adding and adding... I’m done now, perhaps one cymbal too many, but I wanted...

    Kerope vs Agop

Same deal here, I just put them on and enjoy the soothing sounds... that's what got me thinking more about Agops and the variety he uses!

PROCE DROP - WMP and Blue Onyx Rogers (Cleveland era) Luxor Snare Drums

It’s starting to get cold outside - I’d like to ship the blue onyx, at least, sooner if it sells this year... don’t want that perfect wrap to crack! I’ll hold onto it until the spring if not so I don’t ruin this collectors piece while I serve as its custodian.

    Kerope vs Agop

I’ve been listening to a lot of Charlie Hunter featuring Carter McLean on the tubs and his Agops (it seems he has quite an assortment) sound fantastic! A while back he featured a set of Keropes and they sounded fantastic! But a few years later he then released another video of his Istanbul...

Indeed, fantastic fellow deep dyna! From the end of an era... I have a new wood 6.5" re-issue that I've been favoring, and while I hate to let this one go I want it to see the play time it deserves.

    Zildjian "Flange/Bop" Hats questions.

One more sound file - a quick shot on my phone from a few months back before I sold them here on DFO. As Zenstat mentioned, in the 70s these returned for a bit. Mine were from that "re-release" era, coming in at a commanding 1,196g top and 1,434g bottom... HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY compared to yours...
