not sure how long this has been out, but i just came across it.
part number g 4805 and i think this is 10.3 mm
t handle screws at 3 connections , but for some reason no t handle nut to top it off.
those t handle screws and nuts are 8mm.
the 2 other models gretsch made a couple of years back...
for the longest time i was listening to 50s and 60s music on sirius radio in my car, and slacker radio on my pc.
i really like the deep dive 1950s rock n roll from its infancy by the rock n roll founding fathers.
but the first half of the 50s music was patti page, perry como, doris day etc...
2 possible future finishes for gretsch kits.
the stripped shell finish, and the silver sealant finish.
i also created this engineering challenge to compliment the snap in key holder
we can make a deal on this fred. reach out if interested.
what catches my eye is the round knob on the bass muffler.
almost all if not all 53 bass drums i have seen and i havent seen that many have had a smaller hex shaped knob.
this must have been one of the earliest during the transition, but i dont know the year the changeover occured.
what did the inside of a 50s fl tom look like when drilled out for a nodal?
did it have 1 or two holes and inside screws, and did it also have an inside plate like the repro.
i have only saw these...
