    Status of Premier Drums

Oooh! That red set looks pristine! I wasn't a fan of the resonator line though. I heard that most people removed the inner ply to make them sound good. The black set is the line that my Junior High had, and was the first "pro" set I played. The mahogany set could be the ticket! Thanks!

    Status of Premier Drums

I mean the lugs that Yamaha copied. :D I really like those concert tom lugs too though. I had rented a Premier set a few times in the late 70s, and to this day, I can't get that incredible sound out of my head. It was so good. I'm guessing it was birch, I honestly don't know. It had the high...

Which head maker has the clearest film?

I've been using Remo Clear Ambassadors since the late 70s and they have never been crystal clear. Their only crystal clear heads are the Clear Emperor, Clear Pinstripe/Powerstroke III, and No-collar snare side Amabassador.

Maybe we can convince DW to buy the rights to the Premier name... and bring back the 70s line! Some of my favorite drums.

    OT: Analysis of RUSH

Gee, I wonder if people like the music I like. Maybe I'm wrong and have been enjoying the wrong music. I had better search to see what others think of the music I like. After all, a stranger's opinion is way more valid than mine if it is on the Internet.

What effects have age had on the sound of your drums?

Age makes violons sound better, so it would probably help drums too.

Today is Ludwig Super Sensitive day!

Do you know if the regular Ludwig die cast snare side hoop will fit on a Super Sensitive? Or does it require a hoop with a larger opening?

    OT - job app/interview questions

Not much. By law, they can only tell them what your position was, when you worked there, and how much you were paid. Nothing more, otherwise they can be in trouble legally.

    Alex Lifeson new single.

Cool. I worked with Andy Curran (bassist) back in the 80s/90s. I wonder why they didn't use real drums though.
