I luv the tone of this ride. It's got a nice stick and crash sound. Quite versatile for many forms of music. Quite a rare instrument.

If Hammerax used contaminated metal (scrap metal), that's kind of contrary to the complex sounds we can hear emanating from them. Interesting though. Thanks for sharing.

Too bad Hammerax went out of business. They had a variety of unusually hammered cymbals that were un-lathed. They did have lathed ones in the Ultraviolet series and Photon Series. I'm curious to know if anyone here knows approximately the tin and copper ratio they used for their alloy?
