Nice collection! I must admit, even at my young age of 58, I'm constantly looking at kits on Reverb and wanting to pull the trigger when I see something that catches my eye. Case in point, there is a 70's era Gretsch 5 piece kit, natural maple finish, in mint condition posting as I write this...

I can't imagine playing hats any larger then 14", mainly to fit my current kit configuration, however, they do present a unique and distinct sound. Enjoy your new purchase!

I didn't sit in for a drummer, however, played with my trio at a open mic night last month and used this simple set up as well, bass, snare and hats. Felt a little handicapped but it got the job done.
