    Stop a Wrap Tear

I've done repairs on that type of finish. I dissolved a piece of similar matching finish in a acetone and painted it into the crack. Followed by wet sanding. Works great.

Rogers Mardi Gras 14 or 16 floor tom wanted.

Yes, I did. They are pristine with the exception of really ratty looking bass hoops that were not Roger's. Also, there are several Fullerton era collet noses and a broken tom mount, not disclosed by the seller. Great drums but not a fun transaction.

Help with (1940?) Slingerland Radio Kings

Around 1944, the metal restrictions were relaxed. Slingerland began selling drums again but announced that all drums would have wood hoops until metal was available again. Cymbals were not available, either.

Rogers silver sparkle snare drum wsnted

Luxors are great but I like a really tight batter head and six lugs makes that more difficult.

Actually, the set was pieced together one drum at a time. So I didnt feel bad about un-piecing it. I still have the bass and tom.

First year Ludwig had snare mufflers?

Both Leedy and Ludwig & Ludwig introduced them around 1933-34.

    Trixon help needed

Hi, Forumites! I recently acquired a Trixon Telstar set and I'm having trouble fitting standard heads on the bass drum. The T rods splay outward and jam up against the metal hoop of the head, making it impossible to attach the claws to the 20" wooden hoop. Aside from adding spacers or washers...

So much eye candy there, as well. My favorite drums were Joe Luoma's Abalone Pearl Leedy snare and Chris Ardoin's Full...
