A guy has these for sale locally for a stupid price and I'm trying to ascertain whether.... to be stupid. Any insight welcome, I am not a Gretsch guy by trade :) Year of make? Approximate value? It's 22/12/13/16.

In the event folks don't like using the individual sleeves for whatever reason, I highly recommend these bags which totally eliminate the need for the sleeves and keep the stands nicely isolated and protected:

If you want an amazing seamless copper snare that won't break the bank, I highly recommend Temple Drums. I've been playing mine nonstop since it arrived, it is absolutely phenomenal.

The N&C is rolled and welded and, having owned a wealth of their stuff in the past, I'm not a huge fan of their hardware. The Temple is seamless and the lugs are solid brass made to his specs, and you get a Trick strainer on it. Additionally, his strainer and butt are mounted using a patented...
I loved them both but chose to keep the copper color one as it was actually a tad less dry which I prefer! I have used it for literally every gig since it arrived. Such a killer snare. And yes, @aparker2005 has at least one drum from these guys and was part of the inspiration for my order.
