Recording to an android phone over usb.

" I tried using audacity but it sounds like crap. " That's not going to be the software - the software can only record what it's been given. You haven't mentioned your setup. If you wanna use an Android phone, it's possible but a lot more fiddly with a small screen. Can be done though as...

Roland module compatibility with other brand pads

You'll get one zone, yes. You should get two (the bell and edge being the same) - I recall you might have to switch the polarity (tip to ring and vice-versa) Pop over to vdrums.com and search for "pcy" for example and see where others are using Yamaha on Roland (a lot seem to prefer them)

    Kit advice: ELectronic drum kit

Yes - this is posted here and on other forums every day! So Same response. Yamaha or Roland if you want it to last [1] you have your points backwards - Roland is over priced (Apple style with same fervour of fans) Yamaha is well regarded Alesis is OK if you are handy with a soldering iron...

    Something i want to try.

Hat controllers normally need to match the manufacturer. It's likely the Rockband one is just a switch and not a controller so won't work too well. But the Simmons you have is a generic Medeli Chinese kit, so any pedal of that type will probably work. Alesis, Simmons, Kat, Thomann cheapo, etc.

    Simmons bass drum pedal module.

Prob not. Get a kick pad (£30 ish on ebay in the UK, for a Yamaha KP65 or Roland KD8 for example) and use an acoustic pedal of choice.

Is the Yamaha DTX502 a good drum module? - YES. 1. Would this module be a good start . . . ? - YES 2 How much should I pay for one . . . ? - Depends where you are on the planet. Check eBay sold listings in your country for street price 3. Is there something better you could suggest (I don't...

    Hybrid Kit Pictures

Depends what *you* mean as "hybrid". It's a horrible marketing term that appeared! You mean just using electronics and acoustic stuff at the same time? Started doing that in 1981. Every kit I play on is "hybrid" - I'm always triggering *something* :) OK - here's one of my old kits for...

    Basic Triggering Live For Idiots

"cost is a factor"... so exactly what is your actual budget for this project? If you want just trigger some of you own sounds, then yes, the SPD ONE is *an* option, personally I think it's over priced and limited. I don't know your budget, but but for less you can get a more flexible TM-2 and...
