This; signature move. Typically in such venues, the stage is pretty small and it starts getting crowded quickly. Some folks take the hint, some don't. Some feel... entitled to take their sweet time. Others simply don't know better. I'll admit that at my first gig at such a place/situation...
Pearl MX / Maple vintage kick drum, 22" or 24", preferably black but really any color will do. Dinged up is fine, I can refinish it.
Yamaha 8000 series bass drum tom mount arm/s
8 lug 16" hoops, preferably Pearl but not crucial.
Yamaha also made 8000 series kits, of which I currently have three lol. One set is a Turbo Tour 6 piece (gig kit). The others... one I'm selling (12/16/18/22; ruby red; gorgeous) and the other is awaiting restoration (12/14/16/22; white).
All prices are plus shipping (figure $15 - 25 depending on weight, size, and distance). All prices are also negotiable, especially to combine multiple. These are all available for sale elsewhere, so be sure to inquire about availability. Pics available upon request (too many to list them...
The gig was fine, but getting there was the nightmare... just this past summer, I had recently purchased a well-used GMC Yukon to replace my BMW wagon for hauling gear to gigs. Needed the space for hauling our PAs, subs, etc, in addition to the drums and bass cabinet. It was loaded to the roof...
WTB: 1980s Yamaha Turbo Tour Floor Tom in 18x16", or 18x18 if they ever made such a thing. Any color is fine; it would be getting wrapped. Black would be preferred for consistency under the wrap, but again, NBD if it's not.
Interesting... (apologies for a thread hijack). I have a non-flat K Constantinople 20" ride. Acquired as part of a full set deal. Don't know too much about it. It says "Dennis Chambers" but not as an autograph on the inside of the bell. Anyway, it weighs 2126g. Sounds amazing.
Thanks, Dan, good idea. Tried to remove the mount just now but it would not budge. I think the black paint was applied with them on! So they're locked on. The mounting holes do appear to be ever so slightly elongated, though.
White Ludwig Rocker 4 piece shell pack. A classic! 12x8, 13x9, 16x16, 22x14" kick
Shows its age but sounds incredible. Several scratches and dings. Bearing edges look perfect.
4ply poplar & birch shells. They sing! Made in the USA from North Carolina wood. Solid! April 1989 date stamp...
