    Duco Pioneer

I picked up a '64 Ludwig Pioneer shell last month from ebay to go with parts I have been holding onto forever, as normal, the duco is chipping. I first planned to play the drum as is, then as more paint flaked, I thought it would be cool to strip and clear coat, my question is: has anyone done...

    Duco Advice

I have a late 30's Ludwig 11" tom with a black and gold duco finish; the bottom tack-on head is split so I plan on replacing it. While I have the bottom head off, I wanted to put a light clear coat over the duco to protect it from future flaking, any suggestions or tips are appreciated.

A few months back I picked up a basket case of what used to be a mid-60's Sonor metal snare drum, with no tuning rods (among other missing parts), can anyone tell me what are the length of the rods I need? And do all the slotted-head rods have the same threading, or did they change in different...

    Dawn Bath

    Vintage Leedy Snare Info needed

I picked up a snare on the bay a week ago and wasn't sure what it was, the seller thought it was British because of the slotted lug rods, but I didn't think so, I did spy the replacement throw-off as a Gretsch four-point strainer (that I needed for another project) and the lugs looked Leedy to...

Hello, My first post to DFO! I have a '69 keystone Ludwig blue bowlling ball wrap 13" tom that with a black paint sprayed inside; I first tried goof-off with little results, I'd like to use Citrasrip but I am worried about it creeping into the lug holes and damaging the wrap.
