Jan and Dean 1966 unaired pilot show - Wrecking Crew with live backing

Wow, that was....um...something. Love Jan and Dean and grew up with the music but the Monkees would be Shakespeare compared to that.

Anyone else using two rides on live gigs?

Depends. Every cymbal is used however it needs to be used in the song. I ride on crashes and crash rides, the ink is merely the manufacturers' suggestion.

What setup do you bring to club/bar/restaurant gigs?

Depends. I have an acoustic gig where I play my 16" bass and a Djembe as a snare with 16" hats and a 20" paiste flat and I have my rock gigs and I play 12/15/22 and a cob supra. with 15, 18, 20, 22 paiste big beats/signatures.

I saw that auction, I have a matching 16" floor that I've been using as a bass. But mine is a faded aquamarine sparkle.

    Drummaker?

I also vouch for Drum Factory Direct. Never an issue like I had with Drum Supply House.

Really Great Drums with Limited Resale Appeal

Gosh where to start? I have Eames and Premier kits, which others have mentioned. They're great drums but they're not Pearl, Tama, or Ludwig (or DW) and most drummers do not care.

Outdoor gigs in the Florida heat

I played a series of gigs a few years ago in the "Redneck Rivera" of the Florida Panhandle, and it was probably as humid as what you experienced in St Pete. Each place was near the beach and was like playing a gig underwater. My kit did ok, I did have sand in my s*** for a few months despite...

Need a throw off? What about the Ludwig P88AC?

Good idea, I'll try it out and report back.

Need a throw off? What about the Ludwig P88AC?

I will say the only enhancement I wish they would make to the p88, is to add a drum key turnable spot to the top of the strainer. I have smaller hands and they're not getting any younger and maybe because it's very new and hasn't been broken-in yet, but it's rough to set. The P85 knock-off on my...

I upgraded my new-to-me COB Supra with one recently and it and the updated butt are very nice.

    Devo Satisfaction

So many good songs like this one....then they somewhat melted down in the late 80's and became shticky.

    kinda OT - Drummer's personal relationships w/other musicians/artists

I've been married for almost 20 years, we're complete opposites but we're both creative people. She paints and plays trumpet and dulcimer. I don't think i've ever dated an uncreative person; singers, models, artists, musicians. If I had to start over, I would definitely gravitate toward smart...

MAJOR NEWS: CRAVIOTTO Announced Today They Were Closing Original Factory To Relocate

Sam Bacco as the new guy for Craviotto is the silver lining. He was the main guy behind the Nashville Slingerlands and has ran both the Leedy and Gretsch shops in Nashville for years. I was worried, then I saw Sam's name and then I saw Nashville - I wonder if Steve needs a humbly talented PM and...
