15x12 floor toms?

The topic of 15" floor toms comes up from time to time...and never gets old!! I turned this poor Rogers 12x15 marching tenor drum into a matching floor tom for my 1966 Headliner outfit. It's the set you see in my avatar! I love 15" floor toms!

I love that last pic of the "stack". I carry my stack in a Roadrunner Conga bag with a towel in between them.

I have a 15x13 Starclassic Maple hanging floor tom and it's one of my favorite drums I've ever owned (aside from the 'hanging' part). It sounded so good for so long, that I didn't change the coated G2 head it came with for 15 years. And I'm a Remo guy. Eventually I put Colortone Emperors on the whole kit and retired the poor thing.

My 15 is easy to tune and sounds fantastic. As some have said, it's the perfect solution if you have one floor tom. The best of both worlds between a 14 and a 16. Records like a dream.
