Thanks for the link! So, it seems the medium-heavy weight cymbal was only called "ping [cymbal]" whereas the heavy one was the "ping ride"?

That’s the funny thing about this thread, I have zero experience with ping rides other than tapping on a couple for fun. I didn’t even know this existed until it fell into my hands.

I will say that my Ride Cymbal slant has come from a friend who needed a ride. We made a deal that he could pick from any of the ones I could come up with (I got 5) And he ended up choosing THIS PING. I sold two of the rejects to a friend back East and I have to “slog” through the brutal agony of choosing between the two remainers.

Oh! The inhumanity.
