Today is/marks the 40th anniversary of the death/passing of rock's greatest ever drummer,
John Henry "Bonzo" Bonham 31-5-1948-25-9-1980.What can one say?,
That hasn't already been covered numerous times?,
Could he been saved?,
I believe yes if he was put in the correct position,
Rather then lying on his side.BUT.......,
In those days there wasn't the assistance/help for mental illness,
Such as anxiety&depression,
Nor was there the medication we have now,
Also management DIDN'T interfere with a "stars" personal life,
Nor did fellow band members.Let's not forget that Jimmy Page was going through heroin addiction at the time,
Plant was still greiving over the loss of his son& as for JPJ?......,
R.I.P. John Henry "Bonzo" Bonham,
Gone yes BUT NEVER EVER FORGOTTEN!!!!! .

John was the the tip of the iceberg. You should look into Tommy Bolin’s death. You walk away wondering if he was murdered.

Actually TODAY is September 25, the day John Bonham passed. Today I'm listening to Led Zeppelin all day.

I just wonder what he'd be doing now if he were still with us. Would Led Zeppelin still be together?

OP is in Australia, it was already the 25th there.

If Zeppelin was still together today, they'd be terrible and wouldn't sound anything like those 70s albums we all love.

I'm not worthy.......RIP........without the mighty Zep, I'd still be playing violin......

Took the long way in this morning and did an Achilles Last Stand/Dazed & Confused/Comm. Breakdown/Kashmir thing....
Gonna bust out some LZ1 & LZ2 tonite.......what a groovemaker......

they'd probably just be coming out of their smooth-jazz phase after passing thru a reggae phase and be featuring a saxophone player lead with three female backup singers. Oh and they've hired a percussionist and a rhythm guitarist.
