picked up this 6.5x14 wfl 6 lug snare drum on friday for $50
nob hoops and lugs , strainer was kinda fkd i installed a newer one

snare sounds might fine .... attack bozzio head on top and attack snare side drum has been re-wrapped in champagne

that's an unusual wrap; very unique; wonder where the wrap came from
Almost looks like lacquer or as the French would say Lacquer..

Geez...50 bucks?> You cant go wrong there! Thats a nice wrap too. I really like it.

haven't yet ran into grandma brown? hmm. she was very popular in the 6L 6.5x14 WFL (wiffle) size.

dtk-The deep 6 lug snares have a sound of their own. There is a whole lot that you can do with them. If you see one on the cheap sometime, give it a shot. I dig 'em.

you're right , mike ... i've been playing this drum since last friday . for a 6 lugger it has a real good tuning range

like a 39' Plymouth you don't want to take it up to 80 mph..
the other hand the wood to metal ratio decreases (metal..) with 6 lug.
So it's a 47' Plymouth easy cruise. Nice soft pillowy 45 mph ride cross country
It can still "crack that whip"
