I would love to trade for a copper snare. I have only had one in my life, a Pearl Smitty Smith I think it was called? I never really had a chance to play it before moving it along. I have lots of gear and can’t list it all but here is some.

14x5.5 Ludwig Acrolite, players grade
14x4 DW Collector brass snare
12x5 Tama-birch Tamo ash snare
20” DW pancake drum, and legs to convert it to a kick drum

20” Paiste rude power ride
18” Paiste Rude Nova china
20” Paiste Signature Traditional medium ride
24” Paiste 2002 big beat cymbal
22” Paiste Dark Energy ride, mark 1
14” AAX Cellerator hats
22” Sabian Paragon ride, traditional
14” Avedis hats, fake patina model
21” K crash ride, brilliant
20” Meinl Byzance vintage pure ride
24” Meinl MB20 pure metal ride
20” Meinl MB20 rock China

Check out the George Way Elkhart for an affordable and beautiful copper snare. Retails for $600. The Pork Pie Patina Copper is a beauty too at I think $500... They’re both special drums, and coincidentally they are both the only companies I’ve ever received a snare drum from that sounded perfect right out of the box. I mean perfect. (Somebody mentioned that Bill D. @ Pork Pie assembles the Way drums, if so that would make sense. Idk if that’s true, just what I’ve heard)

I own a Pearl Free Floating Snare Copper.
They were made in the 2008's.

Pearl made them in Copper among other things but now that model is now discontinued and I am extremely lucky to be in possession of one.
The one I have is a third generation Free Floater with the new locking strainer mechanism.
I also own a second generation Pearl free Floating Snare made of brass for comparison with the OG strainer.

If you have a nice newer copper DW or Tama Copper-phonic I have this brass 14x6.5 Ludwig snare to offer.
