So Memphis Drum Shop got a bunch of prototype Paiste cymbals in 2 months ago that I didn’t know about. And they’re reasonable(for Paiste). Here’s the one I wish I got but someone grabbed it.

I peruse their site a lot, and when those went up I thought for sure the pricing was incorrect, but it never changed.

That particular Crash is gorgeous... I understand your disappointment.

I have two Prototypes, both 20" rides and one is a flat ride. Really nice cymbals IMO. The 20" (Signature?) ride has been my mainstay ride for over a year and it's lovely. The flat is kind of 602ish and handles the left side duties nicely. I do have a 22" 400 on the way though, so we'll see if there's a change in the lineup.

As you noticed, the Prototypes are priced really nicely for Paiste's. I think they are great bargains.
