I can not measure the sonic value of any independent cymbal smiths beyond what I have owned or played ...but after Spizzichino I would have to include Bettis, Nolan and Collingwood. The latter is an amazing talent and a great chap to talk with.

Anyone else out there have similar experience with Dave?

I just checked out his website. Yeah. Some very cool unique cymbals. A nice listen for sure!
Thanks for the info.

Nice! Had not heard of him. Love the idea of independant cynbalsmiths, blown away by some of their creations, but have not been able to afford them so far. Anyone know of anyone in Canada making a name for themselves in this area? I know there was the one youtube guy doing some cool repairs, mods and steel creations, but nothing like the beutiful instruments these top guys are creating. Hopefully soon.

If I may add Lasse Funch from Denmark. Really awesome work he's doing, I truly love his cymbals, own already 5 of his rides.
I actually just put in order for this one. I promise, this is the last one I'll buy...for awhile. :icon_e_biggrin:
