Looks like I broke my left thumb and tore the ligaments in my left thumb AGAIN!!! This happened previously to each thumb about 20 years ago .
Fingers sprained too

Dang.
Well ... you were warned against juggling toddlers.
They are squirmy when airborne making it difficult to time the grab.
In the meantime, what are you looking at for a healing time?
Maybe 8 to 12 weeks - surgery and physio included

The good news is, that thumb looks much younger than 60.

(JDA clued me in to the age potentially appearing in one’s profile just a day or two ago)

edit: Not that there is anything wrong with a thumb that looks 60+

Wow!
That's not a short distance.
I am so sorry to hear this.
Well ... if it helps, when I shattered my right arm, I took that time to learn to play left handed (and one handed). Maybe playing one handed for a period could inspire?
Just a thought.
And I wish you the best.

I had an Uncle Jack that fell over coffee tables all the time. He had a reputation for it, but of course his friend Jim Beam was quite an instigator!
