If $183 is too much for the Pang Thang, you can wait, Amazon often drop the price on returned items, or someone might grab it... Gambling...

Speaking of returned item $101 for Bosphorus Traditional 16in crash https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JBH6UMK/
Actually I had a situation where there were two Pang Thang returns: a "Very Good" and for a few dollars more a "Like New". So as they declined in price I just waited for one to sell and then bought the other.

Did I read where people have problems with receiving the whole kit with these sales? Not a bad price here. Is that the color you get? It says silver in the description.

Never again, Todd: https://www.drumforum.org/threads/amazon-deals-thread.124803/post-2472057

My guess is the "silver" they reference is the chrome hardware, 'cause that's all they're gonna send.

They sent you the hardware and no drums?????? OMG. Please tell me you got your money back.
That's exactly right. Purchased 5/6; finally refunded 5/17. To me, that's a lot of money sitting in limbo for 1.5 weeks, waiting on them to admit their mistake (which they never actually admitted, nor offered an apology.)

Again, I recommend that any drummer who makes an Amazon purchase to make sure beforehand that your order is contained in one box only. Full sets (in multiple boxes) are apparently out of the question. This likely pertains to non-musician purchases, as well. I've lost a lot of faith in Amazon over this and what I've seen others go through before me. It's just not worth the headache.

If the sets are a little cheaper, it's not worth the bother.
If it's super cheap, it can be well worth it. A bunch of years ago I bought a couple mapex saturn sets with complete hardware setups for about $550 each. Also got a similar deal on a Pearl Export set. They were very easy to sell for a nice profit. Then they had a Mapex that I really wanted as a "last set." It was a Mapex Saturn (3?) Manhattan set in black gloss wood grain lacquer. Opened the first box and it was red. No other boxes arrived. At the time they had Manhattan sets in other colors, but they wouldn't let me have it at the price of the black one, so I had to send back the one box for a refund.

Mapex Black Panther Design Lab Heartbreaker 14x6 Mahogany snare drum for $380

That is a very tempting sale. For reference, a Mahogany shell with bearing edges, snare beds, maple rerings, and sanding comes out to ~$317.40 on Nordic Shells. I'm afraid it will sit too close to the 6.5 x 14" walnut/poplar INDe drum that I already have in my collection, although I tend to prefer Mahogany. Here's a video of that mapex on 2112:
