I believe they are European beech like Sonor’s. Would love to have a bop kit.

I have a snare that looks great & has a very 60s sound but is a lot like a classic Italian car, IE not working most of the time.

I've had the lugs redrilled but I'm still waiting for them to be posted back to me.

Very interesting hoops/clips. They remind me of the familiar single flange & clip arrangement but the Hollywood snare has the clips set back into the hoop rather than hooked over the top.

They had low end and high end snares…..Like most brands..
The President was the top of the line…..
Yours is more on the low end….
I am not sure of all the models….

I grabbed an 18,12,14 Meazzi set many years ago……pre digital cameras and such……when it got here…..I was sad…

It was very low line…6 lug BD..etc …and the Silver Sparkle had “cancer spots” all over it…looked really bad…..

Had super cool…Art Deco lugs and claws and rods….though

was tempted to strip all the parts off..but..didn’t..

I finally sold the set to someone..at cost..and was very happy to get rid of them at that price….

Super rare stuff…….at least in the States…..
The first Hollywood Mazzini set I saw was being played by Max Roach in a summer park concert around 1971 in Manhattan. The bass drum had if I remember correctly the console with wheels so the bass drum small tom and what ever else was attached to it could be rolled out onstage.

well, I hope to get help for the next 300 pages book, in the meantime:
- the FB group (private)
- the growing "YT page" (public)
- digital release of my old book on Italian vintage drums (sold only with the paper copy on Italian pioneers of drumming, sorry)

JDA, could you show us "a huge pamphlet full of everything they sold"? thanks
