Maple hoops?

Bought it at fred pierce in Saint Louis

He disassembled it and polished up the hardware as best he coud

Used linseed oil to bring out the mahogany

Every duplex snare I researched other than ancient ones were brass

Never seen one like this, pretty damn cool!
Send DuplexTim a PM, I haven't seen him on here in a while. He's in Columbia, MO and is probably the Duplex expert. A really good guy also.

I can't remember the model name, but there was a run of Duplex drums made with Radio King shells in the 40's - 50's. They may have even used the Radio King name. This could be one.

That’d be cool

I don’t see any plies in it so it may be a solid shell

The hoops look a little like radio king ISH

Dang, those are some serious macho lugs. Looks awesome! But I am not Duplex aware.
Agreed about those lugs, John. They are quite manly. Looks like they just poured hot slabs of metal right on the shell.

Looks like solid mahogany but need to see a bearing edge. Maple re-rings. I don't know anything about Duplex drums, though.....
